Artist Bio

Carrie is a practising fine artist and mentor working from Studio106 in Hove, East Sussex. She is an expressive figurative oil painter and the focus of her work is as much about the visceral quality of paint and mark making as it is the subject matter.

Carrie studied at the Lorenzo di Medici art institute in Florence and on the Turps banana correspondence course 2020 - 2022. Recent collaborations include contributor (written essay and grief workshop facilitator) to ‘the Aerodrome’ exhibition at Ikon gallery, Birmingham 2019. Also contributor to ‘A memorial to Michael Stanley’ prose and environmental sculpture project with Alec Finlay, Milton Keynes Gallery 2019. She also received Arts Council funding through a DYCP grant for her grief project in 2022.

Her work is held in many UK and International private collections.

Carrie is represented by Zuleika gallery in Woodstock,Oxfordshire.
